1. General Information
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the online taxi booking services provided by Call a Cab Amsterdam (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our services are operated in accordance with applicable Dutch laws, including consumer protection legislation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and national and local transport regulations.
By using our website and/or booking a ride through our platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Booking Process
- Bookings can be made via our website or mobile platform and are subject to availability.
- Customers are encouraged to make bookings at least 24 hours in advance of the desired pickup time.
- Upon successful booking, a confirmation will be sent via email and/or SMS, including trip details.
- Customers are responsible for ensuring that all provided pickup and drop-off details are accurate and complete.
- Any changes to the booking must be requested as soon as possible and are subject to availability.
3. Pricing and Payment
- Fare estimates are calculated based on distance, estimated travel time, and any applicable surcharges (including but not limited to airport fees, night rates, or special requests).
- All fares include VAT, in accordance with Dutch tax legislation.
- Payments may be made online via accepted payment methods such as iDEAL, credit card, PayPal, or other available options.
- Cash payment is accepted only if selected during booking and subject to driver availability.
- A digital receipt will be provided upon completion of the trip.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time are free of charge.
- Cancellations made within 8 hours of the scheduled pickup time may incur a cancellation fee, depending on operational costs already incurred, up to a maximum of 100% of the fare.
- Failure to appear at the pickup location at the agreed time (“no-show”) is non-refundable.
- Approved refunds will be processed within 15–20 business days using the original payment method.
5. Delays and Liability
- While we make reasonable efforts to provide timely and reliable services, delays may occur due to traffic conditions, weather, road closures, or other circumstances beyond our control.
- Call a Cab Amsterdam shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed flights or appointments.
- If the assigned driver fails to arrive at the confirmed pickup time without valid cause, the customer is entitled to either a full refund or a free rebooking, at the customer’s choice.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Passengers must be present at the agreed pickup location at the confirmed time.
- Disruptive, unsafe, or illegal behavior may result in immediate termination of the service without entitlement to a refund.
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Child seats must be requested at the time of booking and may incur additional charges, subject to availability.
7. Waiting Time
- Delays caused by the customer may result in additional waiting time charges.
- Waiting time is charged as follows (excluding VAT):
- €50 per hour for passenger cars
- €60 per hour for taxi vans
- Waiting time charges are subject to VAT.
8. Damage and Cleaning Fees
- In the event of damage, excessive soiling, vomiting, destruction, or any other form of damage caused by a passenger to one of our vehicles, a cleaning and damage fee of up to €450 may be charged, depending on the severity of the damage.
- This fee covers cleaning costs, repair costs, and loss of income and may be payable immediately.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
- Call a Cab Amsterdam processes personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Personal data is used solely for booking management, customer service, and operational purposes.
- Personal data is not shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law.

10. Complaints
- Complaints must be submitted within 7 days of the service date via our contact form or by email at info@callacabamsterdam.nl.
- We aim to respond within 5 working days and will make reasonable efforts to resolve complaints promptly and fairly.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with Dutch law.
- Any disputes arising from these terms or the provided services shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands.
12. Changes to These Terms
- Call a Cab Amsterdam reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
- Changes will not affect confirmed bookings already made prior to the effective date of the amendments.
- The most current version will always be available on our website.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website and/or booking a ride with Call a Cab Amsterdam, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
